Lead GIN partner attends GIFT-T! event in Antwerp

A mid-term meeting of the GIFT-T! project, titled Towards a ‘Green Infrastructure Business Plan’ for Stakeholders, was held on November 21, 2013 in Antwerp, Belgium. GIFT-T! is an INTERREG IV B project aimed at developing and improving methods for community-based planning and green infrastructure, with an emphasis on meeting special stakeholder needs.

GreenInfraNet project highlighted at two Barcelona events

The GreenInfraNet project was presented at two recent events held in Barcelona, Spain. A workshop called ‘Metropolitan Ecosystems Facing Global Change’ took place on November 12, and the first training session of the Urbes project, titled ‘Monetary and Non-Monetary Valuation of Urban Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services’ took place on November 13-15.

GI to claim the spotlight at conference in Brussels

The topic of Green Infrastructure is one that is generating a great deal of high-level interest and attention. On November 4, 2013, a special conference titled ‘Green Infrastructure: Engaging Regions, Cities and Civil Society’ will take place in Brussels, and will feature European Commissioner for the Environment Janos Potocnik as the keynote speaker.
